No Mow May – Have your say!

'No Mow May' is an annual campaign to encourage all who manage green spaces not to mow during May, allowing wild flowers to grow to provide a feast for pollinators and to tackle pollution.

Climate change is driving extreme weather events across the globe. We have just experienced the hottest June on record and witnessing holiday makers in Rhodes and Corfu fleeing wildfires.

Councils across the country have been taking part this year to try and halt the serious decline in insects, butterflies and bees as well as the wild flowers. This year was the first time Staverton Parish Council chose to participate in the scheme.

We would like to hear your views. Come along to the next meeting of the parish council or email your thoughts to clerk@stavertonparish.com
